Before you promote anything, you should know exactly how and when you get paid. This guide explains how Vanfleek calculates affiliate commission, how long it takes to become available and what can reduce it. The rules are the same for every affiliate.

How commission is calculated

Commission is a percentage of what the customer pays for the products, after discounts and coupons. Delivery fees and tax do not earn commission. For example, if a customer buys a ₦20,000 item with a ₦2,000 discount, the commission is worked out on ₦18,000.

The percentage depends on the product category. Your dashboard shows the rate for each category on the Rates page, so you can see what you will earn before you share a link. Some categories pay more than others, because the margins differ.

How a sale is credited to you

When someone clicks your link, Vanfleek remembers it in their browser for 30 days. If they buy within those 30 days, the sale is yours, even if they do not buy on the first visit. If they click a different affiliate’s link later, the last link clicked gets the credit. This is called “last click wins” and it applies to everyone equally.

The four statuses of a commission

  • Pending: the order is paid and the commission is waiting out the hold period.
  • Available: the hold period is over and the money can be withdrawn.
  • Paid: you withdrew it and it has been sent to your bank account.
  • Refunded: the order was refunded, so the commission was taken back.

Why there is a 14-day hold

New commission stays pending for 14 days after the order is paid. This gives time for returns and refunds to be settled. It is the same for everyone, and it protects the programme so that it can keep paying honest affiliates.

What happens when an order is refunded

If the customer is refunded, the commission on the refunded part is taken back. If only one item of an order is refunded, only the commission on that item is reversed. If commission you already withdrew is reversed, your available balance can go down by that amount and the difference is taken from your next earnings.

Withdrawing your money

You can withdraw when you have at least ₦1,000 available. Withdrawals are paid to a Nigerian bank account in your own name. Request a withdrawal from your Payouts page, and you can see its status there until it is paid. You can cancel a request that has not been processed yet.

What does not earn commission

  • Your own purchases, and purchases made with the same email address as your affiliate account.
  • Delivery fees and tax.
  • Orders that are cancelled, unpaid or refunded.

Keep it honest

Do not mislead people about prices, products or delivery, and do not promote Vanfleek with spam. Accounts that break the rules can be suspended and their pending commission withheld.
