How To Generate a Battery Report on Windows 10 and 11 PC in 2025

You can do these 5 easy steps:

1. Open Command Prompt

• Press Win Key + R, type CMD, and hit Enter.

• Alternatively, search for Command Prompt, right-click, and select Run as administrator.

• Alternatively press Win Key + X and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) or Windows PowerShell.

 You can select Windows PowerShell or Windows PowerShell (Admin)

2. Run Battery Report Command

• Type or copy-paste: " powercfg /batteryreport "  into the command prompt or Powershell terminal window. Remember to remove spaces before and after the command while entering this command or while pasting.

 If you selected Command Prompt, you should get a similar window

 If you selected  Windows PowerShell, you should get a similar window

• Hit Enter to execute the command

 If you selected Command Prompt, you should get a similar window

 If you selected  Windows PowerShell, you should get a similar window

3. Report Generation

• You'll receive a prompt stating the report has been generated successfully. The file path will be displayed, showing the report's location on your C drive.

 If you selected Command Prompt, you should get a similar window

 If you selected  Windows PowerShell, you should get a similar window

4. View the Report

• Option 1: Manually navigate to the file path in File Explorer.

• Option 2: Copy the file path from the command terminal, paste it into the Windows File Explorer search bar, and hit Enter.

• Either methods will allow you to access and view the battery report.

If you followed all steps correctly you should get a window similar to this with your battery report displayed; showing your battery stats.
